NASA Keen on India's Chandrayaan Technology: ISRO

NASA scientists recently visited the headquarters of the ISRO, leaving American space experts deeply impressed by the remarkable technological accomplishments of India.
NASA has reportedly expressed a strong desire for India's Chandrayaan-3 technology and the impressive headquarters of the Indian space agency in Bengaluru, the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), S. Somanath, said on Monday.
The representatives of NASA have even urged ISRO to consider selling their remarkable technologies to them.
"About 5-6 people from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory came (to the Isro headquarters), and we explained to them about Chandrayaan-3 technology. That was before the soft landing (on August 23)... they just said
we have no comments.
Everything is going to be good," said Somanath.
As per the ISRO chief, they also said ''Look at the scientific instruments, they are so beautiful and very cheap, and they are high-technology.
How did you make it? Why don't you sell this to America?''''This tells us how the times have changed,'' ISRO chief stressed. In 1992, the US denied selling cryogenic engine technology to India. Later, Russia assisted India.
"We can build the best equipment, devices, and rockets in India. That is why our PM has opened up the space sector," he said.
ISRO chief also said that ''India is now invited to build
rockets, satellites and space technologies.'' He said that India currently has
five companies working in the space arena, and all are ''marvelous in their segment.''
