Despite Western restrictions on Russian oil exports, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reports significant growth in the industry.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that Russia's oil exports rose by 460,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 7.6 million bpd in September compared to the previous month.
This resulted in the country receiving its highest revenue since July 2022, totalling $18.8 billion, according to the monthly IEA report.
Most of Russia's oil is still bought by India and China, according to the IEA. India, for example, increased its oil imports from Russia by 16% in September, according to Energy Analytics.
Sputnik has created a concise infographic depicting the amount of Russian oil produced and revenue collected in recent months.
