In his second speech from the White House’s Oval Office as US President, Joe Biden on Thursday called for billions of dollars in military support for Ukraine and Israel.
A retired US Air Force (USAF) officer has criticized President Joe Biden for “directly lying” to the American public on the current situation in Ukraine, where his administration has supplied billions dollars of military aid to support the Kiev regime against Russia’s Special Military Operation.
“His (Biden’s) reporting to the nation that the Ukrainian Army has taken back 50 percent of the territory initially taken by Russia does not ring true. I am surprised that his speechwriters allowed that to remain in the speech,” remarked Karen Kwiatkowski, who has also served as an analyst at the Pentagon.
Kwiatkowski agreed with Moscow’s assessment that the Ukrainian military’s so-called counter-offensive has been a “net loss” to Kiev, despite claims to the contrary by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

“Of course, he does hope that Ukraine can end (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, but again, the reality on the battlefield and politically in Ukraine point to this being a direct lie to the American people - one that he himself didn't seem overly confident in telling,” the American defense analyst remarked.

In his speech from the White House on Thursday, Biden said that he would lodge an urgent request with the US Congress, which has been without a speaker for almost two weeks, for approving billions in dollars in aid for Ukraine and Israel.
“It’s a smart investment that will pay dividends for American security for generations,” Biden said in his address.
Reports suggest that the overall military aid would be the tune of $100 billion, with around $60 billion earmarked for Ukraine.

Biden Seems Okay with Ukrainians and Israelis Dying: Expert

However, Kwiatkowski questioned the very premise of approving such a large budget from the US taxpayer’s pocket, reasoning that Biden failed to justify if billions of dollars his administration poured into Ukraine has borne any results.

“He [Biden] mentioned several states where military weapons and munitions are made, and how great it was that in these wars they support - they don't have to die in them, that is for the Ukrainians and the Israelis,” the former Pentagon official stated.

Kwiatkowski reckoned that Biden was completely fine with Ukrainians giving up their lives just so that the US could sustain its military-industrial complex.
She also panned Biden for ignoring the fact how Israel, a major non-NATO ally of the US, completely failed to anticipate or deter the attack from Hamas in spite of having received military and intelligence support from the US for decades.
“What has Israel done with around $3.8 billion we provide them each year in military aid,” questioned Kwiatkowski.
She further noted that Biden appeared rather shaky in reaffirming America's committment to "protection of innocents in Gaza".

"He also curiously spoke of the United States as a beacon of freedom of religion and speech - even as he was asking for billions more to send to countries where churches and religions are being banned, where elections are suspended, and the allied governments - in Tel Aviv and in Kiev - experience intolerance and war against different ethnicities, religions and cultures reminds the world of 1939 Germany," she stated.

Biden's speech was made hours after he returned from Tel Aviv, where he reaffirmed Washington's support to Israel in its ongoing hostilities against Hamas.

Biden Delivers Militaristic Speech With Unusual Ending, Kwiatkowski Says

The former Pentagon official described Biden’s overall speech as being “awkwardly militaristic” in tone as well as “threatening” due to its overall content asking for billions of dollars in military aid despite a seemingly growing opposition among many Republicans over continuing military support to Kiev.

“His speech was short on specifics, yet also awkwardly militaristic and threatening - if we don't give money to warmongers with their hands out - we will have to fight somewhere - even as he downplayed how exactly Americans fighting somewhere would pan out,” Kwiatkowski opined.

Furthemore, she said that the speech appeared “pre-recorded”.

The former Department of Defense (DOD) official questioned the “slurring American president” for concluding his address with "God protect our troops” instead of “God Bless America”, which is usually the case.

Kwiatkowski has also been left surprised by Biden’s apparent “self-aggrandizement” evident during his address, with the President proudly declaring himself to be "first President" to ever visit a war zone since his nineteenth century predecessor Abraham Lincoln.
“I imagine that is part of his presidential re-election campaign, but it fell flat,” the former Pentagon official remarked.
