Turkiye will label Israel as a “war criminal” for its actions in Gaza, Erdogan says
"Israel, we will also declare you as a war criminal to the world, we are preparing for it, and we will introduce Israel to the world as a war criminal," Erdogan told the thousands who had gathered to express support for the Palestinians.
Slamming the Western world’s politicians and their media for legitimizing the “massacre of the innocent people” in Gaza, Erdogan denounced the West as the “main culprit behind the massacre unfolding in Gaza.”
According to the Turkish leader, Israel was being used as "a pawn" in the region, which could be "sacrificed" later.
Referencing the recent resolution overwhelmingly passed in the UNGA calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, which both Israel and the US rejected, Erdogan reiterated a call to the Israeli government “to open the doors of dialogue to establish peace.”
