Ukraine persists in assaulting Russian territory as a component of its so-called "counteroffensive," only leading to significant casualties among its troops.
The Russian Armed Forces have effectively repelled an assault by Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk direction, resulting in Ukrainian losses of 110 soldiers, two armoured vehicles, two howitzers, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, and three drones, Vadim Astafiev, the head of the press centre of the Russian Armed Forces' Battlegroup Yug, told Sputnik on Monday.

"In the Donetsk direction, units of Battlegroup Yug, backed by aviation and artillery, successfully repelled attacks by [...] the Ukrainian Armed Forces [...] in the Yakovlevka, Kleshcheevka, and Kurdyumovka regions. The enemy lost up to 110 servicemen, two armoured vehicles, a D-30 122 mm howitzer , a US-made M777 155 mm howitzer, and mortars of 82 and 120 calibre", he said.

In addition, Russian air defence systems destroyed Ukrainian R18, FPV, and Valkyrie drones in the areas of Zolotaryovka, Nyrkovo, and Troitskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
