The Congress candidate previously warned on Wednesday that federal agencies might conduct searches at premises linked to him ahead of the November polls.
The Income Tax (IT) Department conducted raids at the premises linked to Telangana politician Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in the polls-bound state on Thursday.
The raids were conducted at the residence and offices of Reddy in Khammam district, media reported.
The Income Tax officials seized phones and laptops from the Congress politician's offices and residence, the reports stated citing a manager of Reddy.

Soon after learning that IT officials were conducting searches at premises linked to Reddy, his supporters gathered outside the house and raised slogans against the IT department. They even tried to barge in but the securitymen stopped them, the manager added.

The raids came just on the day when he was scheduled to file nomination.
Notably, Reddy resigned from the Telangana-ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party and joined the state's main opposition Congress on 2 July at a rally attended by former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi.
During the 2014 Lok Sabha polls (Parliamentary elections), Reddy had emerged victorious on Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party's (YSRCP) ticket.
Earlier this month, he alleged that the BRS, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were working together against Congress candidates and politicians.
Reddy made the claims after IT officials had raided the residence and offices of industrialist Kichannagiri Laxma Reddy, another Congress candidate, in the state on 2 November.
