"The precondition for peace with Israel and the establishment of normal relations with it is the end of its occupation of all Palestinian and Arab lands, as well as the realization of the independence of the State of Palestine with full sovereignty within the borders of June 4, 1967, with its capital in East Jerusalem," the statement said.
"Today we feel sadness, pain and disappointment. We had to announce that Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City is out of service," Nebal Farsakh said in a statement on social media.
Such underground structure is a "backbone" of Hamas’ combat capabilities, as the movement uses it to hide and come out unexpectedly, he added.
"At no stage have we said that we are not going to strike in southern Gaza. There may be cases where we will strike military targets of importance in Gaza … [We said] only that we are focusing our main combat activity, our main operations in the north. I think it is very clear, very evident for everybody watching," Conricus told a briefing late on Saturday.
"We continue to facilitate aid into Gaza. It's not coming from Israel, but we facilitate it. Every day, more and more trucks are entering the Gaza Strip. So far, more than 850 [trucks] have entered, and they are carrying food, medication, shelter, tents and temporary housings, and of course, water," Conricus told a briefing late on Saturday.
"WHO has lost contact with its focal points in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, amid horrifying reports of the hospital facing repeated attacks. There are reports that some of those who fled the hospital have been shot at, wounded, or killed," Ghebreyesus said on X.
