The Indonesian Hospital in Gaza has completely shut down, the hospital's director, Atef al-Kahlout, said Thursday.
"The hospital is completely out of business," al-Kahlout told the Al Ghad broadcaster.
The medical facility has shut down operations due to the Israeli blockade and lack of fuel, the report said.
The hospital, as well as other medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, have repeatedly come under Israel's shelling since the Palestinian-Israeli conflict escalated, officials and international organizations have said.
On October 7, Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise large-scale rocket attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip and breached the border, killing and abducting people in neighboring Israeli communities. Israel launched retaliatory strikes and ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, cutting off supplies of water, food, and fuel. On October 27, Israel launched a large-scale ground incursion inside the Gaza Strip with the declared goal of eliminating Hamas fighters and rescuing the hostages. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of around 1,200 people in Israel and over 11,500 in the Gaza Strip.
