Voting for state assembly elections in Rajasthan is scheduled for 25 November. Congress is working hard to retain the power, and is aggressively promoting the welfare schemes started by its government, led by Ashok Gehlot.
Rajasthan State Chief Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said that his political future depends on the decision of Congress’ high command.

“My role has always been whatever the high command wants. I do not decide my own role. The role that high command will give me, I will stick to that,” Gehlot told media while answering the question about his political future.

The Rajasthan State Chief also said that anti-incumbency factor won’t work in the state and Congress will form the government with full majority.
“People have made up their mood to repeat the government in the state this time. I believe we are moving towards 156 seats. The tradition (of changing the government in every 5 years) is going to break this time. People in the state are happy with the kind of work we have done. In Rajasthan, it is definite that the government will be repeated,” the senior Congress politician said.
Congress and Gehlot are riding high on confidence as they claim that various welfare schemes launched in the state have brought changes in the life of people of the state.
Elections in Rajasthan will be held on 200 assembly seats and the majority mark is 101. Out of 200 seats, polling will be held on 199 seats on 25 November while the elections in the Karanpur have been adjourned due to the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
In the previous elections, Congress had won 100 seats while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 73 seats. The results of the elections will be declared on 3 December.
