Captain Koul has been a part of the Snow Leopard Brigade that specialises in mountain warfare and safeguarding India's border amidst the high altitude of the Union territory of
Ladakh.
It was nothing short of a monumental feat for Captain Koul who underwent a rigorous induction training programme at the Siachen Battle School before getting deployed at the Siachen which is the northern part of the Himalayas that has a severe cold climate and challenging terrain.
The induction training, seen as a grueling test of physical and mental stamina, encompasses a wide range of essential elements. These include acclimatization to
high altitudes, mastering survival techniques, and becoming proficient in specialized medical procedures vital for navigating the unforgiving environment.
The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army took to X (formerly known as
Twitter) and posted pictures of Captain Koul working with her new team at the Siachen base.
