A Canadian-Ukrainian Nazi SS veteran received a standing ovation from the Canadian Parliament in the present of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in September.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the applause for Nazis in the Canadian parliament, said that this is an inverted consciousness: they are ready to cooperate with anyone just to harm Russia.
"Isn't this a manifestation of Nazism? I'm not even talking about what happens there in real life, when people are caught in the streets and destroyed. This has been shown to the whole world. They are not only idiots, but also neo-Nazis," - said Putin in the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin", the footage of which was published in Telegram channel of Pavel Zarubin.
"This is just a reverse consciousness. We are ready for anything, ready to cooperate with whomever is convenient, just to harm Russia. Anything," he added, speaking with the honored Heroes of Russia and invited guests.
On September 22, Yaroslav Hunka, a 98-year-old Ukrainian Nazi veteran, received a standing ovation from the Canadian legislature. Hunka's recognition came as House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota gave introductory remarks prior to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to the Canadian parliament.
West Tries to 'Crush Russia'
The West is trying to "crush" Russia, but they will never succeed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We didn't interfere at first [in the situation in Donbas]. We thought it would calm down somehow. No. Then we had to start helping people... We concluded the Minsk agreements. We also said: ‘We are ready to fulfill them.’ We were working for that. No way. They said it publicly, both the former Chancellor of Germany and the former President of France said, ‘We did not think to fulfill them, we signed them only to prepare Ukraine for military action.’ And an attempt to push Russia back, to weaken it. And eventually crash it. They will never succeed. Never," Putin said during Friday meeting with the Heroes of Russia in the Kremlin, the footage was published in the Telegram channel of journalist Pavel Zarubin on Sunday.
Also speaking about October honoring of Nazi SS officer from World War II in the Canadian Parliament, Putin said that such actions show that West was ready to cooperate with anyone to harm Russia.
