The 2024 Indian general election in Bihar is expected to take place in or before May 2024 to elect 40 members of the lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha.
Ahead of the much-awaited 2024 Indian general election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to launch campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Bihar's Champaran on 13 January, a source told an Indian news agency on Sunday.
According to party sources, PM Modi is scheduled to deliver a speech at a rally in Raman Maidan, Bettiah city, and is expected to launch and lay the foundations for multiple projects, such as roads and bridges, across Bihar.
According to the plan formulated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda are slated to address several rallies in the state during January and February.
PM Modi is set to deliver speeches at three rallies in Begusarai, Bettiah, and Aurangabad in Bihar, while Shah will be addressing gatherings in Sitamarhi, Madhepura, and Nalanda.
JP Nadda is likely to conduct rallies at various locations, with a focus on the Seemanchal and the eastern regions of Bihar.
The state's political landscape has undergone a significant shift, with the BJP now in the opposition and the JDU's leader Nitish Kumar being part of the Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) government.
