Indian Navy Strengthens Ties With Royal Saudi Naval Forces

Admiral Fahad Abdullah S Al-Ghofaily called on Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, Indian Navy, in New Delhi and discussed cooperation mechanisms.
Admiral Fahad Abdullah S Al-Ghofaily, Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, is on a four-day official visit to India to strengthen naval cooperation between the two countries.

The visit is aimed at enhancing naval cooperation between the two navies and has renewed the sense of commitment of two friendly maritime neighbours to address common maritime challenges in the IOR, an official release said, adding that it is also a testimony to the long standing relationship between the navies of Saudi Arabia and India.

The Indian Navy cooperates with the Royal Saudi Naval Force through various initiatives which include operational interactions such as the bilateral Al Mohed Al Hindi naval exercise, training and other maritime avenues, the release said.
Admiral Fahad Abdullah S Al-Ghofaily's visit includes meetings with the Chief of Defence Staff, the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Air Staff and the Deputy Chief of Army Staff.
