India is buzzing with celebrations of National Youth Day, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a global icon, great spiritual leader and reformer.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu and an array of political leaders and citizens paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his 161st birth anniversary, highlighting his influential role in promoting Indian spiritualism and culture worldwide.
"His thoughts and messages, full of energy and enthusiasm, will continue to inspire the youth to do something from time to time," PM Modi wrote in Hindi on X.
President Droupadi Murmu expressed her hope that the teachings of Swami Vivekananda will continue to inspire future generations as she paid tribute to him.
