The Defence Materials Stores and Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE) in Kanpur, India, has sent samples of indigenous fuel for the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile for testing.BrahMos Aerospace, an Indo-Russian joint venture, produces supersonic cruise missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or ground platforms. The company was established in 1998 and is named after the Brahmaputra and Moscow rivers.The Russian side in the joint venture is represented by NPO Mashinostroyenia. Fuel for the BrahMos missile is currently exported from Russia to India.

India has kicked off testing indigenous fuel for the BrahMos cruise missile, local media reported on Wednesday.
The Defence Materials Stores and Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE) in Kanpur, India, has sent samples of indigenous fuel for the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile for testing.
In October 2023, the Indian Air Force successfully tested its version of the Brahmos surface-to-surface missile.
BrahMos Aerospace, an Indo-Russian joint venture, produces supersonic cruise missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or ground platforms. The company was established in 1998 and is named after the Brahmaputra and Moscow rivers.
