Russian presidents deliver an annual address to parliament, touching on strategic directions for Russia's development in the near future.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is delivering the annual address to the lower and upper houses of the country's parliament, a speech that is expected to focus on the state of Russia and the main directions of its domestic and foreign policy.
Putin is to voice the main ideas for the further development of the country. He will touch on "setting goals for the next six years".
The president is also expected to discuss the special military operation in Ukraine, security and economic issues amid the current geopolitical challenges.
Russian presidents have addressed the parliament 22 times since 2000, with Vladimir Putin speaking 18 times and Dmitry Medvedev delivering four addresses during his presidency.

"Last year, the Russian economy was growing at a rate higher than the the global one. On this measure, we pulled ahead not only the leading European Union countries, but also all the countries of the so-called G7," Putin said in an annual address to the Federal Assembly.
