The necessary preparations for the tests have already been made and the authorities responsible for the planned tests are making the final checks before giving the green light for the missile tests.
India is preparing for the next phase of tests of its two nuclear-capable ballistic missiles, including one that could be launched from a submarine, The Print reported, citing sources.
The missiles are likely to be test-fired between 11 and 16 March. However, the final launch would depend on several other factors, including weather conditions, the media reported.
Quoting sources in the defence and security establishment, the report said the two missiles - the K4 submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) and the land-based Agni-V long-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile with nuclear capability - would be test-fired soon.
In this regard, a notice has been issued to airmen over the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean region, meaning that flying objects are not allowed in the region.
The K4 missile was first tested from an underwater platform in 2020. At that time, the missile was tested from a fixed underwater pontoon off the east coast.
