A voter in the Staropoltavsky district of Russia gave an amusing twist during the Russian presidential election after they showed up to cast their vote dressed as the giant teddy bear Vanechka.
It turned out to be quite a spectacle for the residents of the Staropoltavsky District in the Volgograd Region of Russia who saw a giant teddy bear receiving a ballot and walking to the voting booth.
To everyone's surprise, the bear found itself too large to fit inside a booth but still managed to cast its vote.
Staropoltavsky district administration shared the hilarious video on social media and wrote, "At polling station No. 3821 the bear Vanechka appeared. Of course, it was difficult for the bear to pass through the metal detector frame, but he did it."
While the true identity of the person wearing the bear costume remained a mystery, a local resident mentioned that the same polling station had earlier been visited by voters dressed as a panda and a yeti.
The Federation Council of Russia has announced that the presidential election in Russia will take place until March 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are competing for the position of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov, and Vladimir Putin.
