On Friday, when India voted in the first phase of 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged first-time voters to turn out in huge number to participate in the biggest festival of democracy.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed his gratitude towards all those who voted in the first phase of 2024 Lok Sabha elections, especially first-time voters, and said that as per information received, there is overwhelming support for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Yesterday, the first phase of polling concluded. I congratulate and express my gratitude to all those who cast their vote and especially the first-time voters. After the polling concluded, the analysis that was done on the booth level and the information that was received confirms that in the first phase, there has been one-sided voting for NDA”, Modi said while addressing a poll rally at Nanded in Maharashtra.

The prime minister even took a dig at Congress parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi, as he said that like Amethi, Congress would lose ground in Wayanad also.
“The prince of Congress (referring to Rahul Gandhi) can foresee crisis in Wayanad also. The prince and his team are waiting for polling in Wayanad on April 26. Like Amethi, he will run away from Wayanad also”, Modi said.
Questioning the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) over leadership, the prime minister said the INDIA bloc is unable to tell the people of the country who will be the combine's leader.
He further said that Congress accepted defeat even before the polls were announced, and accused the Grand Old Party of putting hurdles in the way of development.
He once again made an appeal to people to come out in large numbers and vote during the ongoing elections.
