Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with his team visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other officials of the country paid a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday.
On his first state trip to the UAE PM Shehbaz was warmly welcomed in Abu Dhabi by the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Pakistan MIF office reports.
The reception was also attended by the high-ranked Pakistani and UAE officials.

At the same time, Mr Shehbaz met Pakistani and UAE businesspersons and investors in the information technology sector. He is also expected to discuss trade and investment with UAE stakeholders. He also attended a roundtable session of shareholders of the IT community, where he stressed that his visit to the UAE was not to seek loans but economic collaboration and cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister had a meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. With an emphasis on the oil and non-primary sector, Mr Shehbaz commended the UAE Head's plan to achieve economic independence from oil and gas and conveyed his appreciation for gracious support of Pakistan through difficult times.
