India Receives 35,000 AK-203 Rifles from Indo-Russian Joint Venture: Rostec

Indo-Russian Rifles Private Ltd, registered & located in India in full compliance with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, has manufactured and delivered the Kalashnikov rifles to the Indian Ministry of Defence.
India is the first foreign customer to start producing the the two hundredth series of Kalashnikov rifles on its soil, said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rosteс State Corporation.

"The production has been deployed in India in full compliance with the Make In India and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) programs," he said in a statement.

Such programs are one of the trends in the modern arms market and they provide a competitive advantage for Russia as a reliable supplier of the best defence solutions, stated Chemezov.
To boost the level of localization, all necessary equipment was delivered to the Korwa Ordnance Factory in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, and the production facilities were fully equipped.
This allowed the production and delivery of 35,000 Kalashnikov rifles to the Indian Army within the agreed timeframe with the Indian Ministry of Defence.
