The FSB has suppressed the terrorist activities of a Russian citizen, a native of one of the Central Asian countries, and a member of an international terrorist organisation banned in Russia.The terrorist planned to detonate improvised explosive devices in a Jewish institution in the Moscow Region and at a Moscow metro station, for which he conducted reconnaissance and purchased the necessary components, the FSB said. After the attacks, the terrorist planned to travel to Afghanistan and join the ranks of terrorist organisations, the FSB added.During the arrest the terrorist put up armed resistance, as a result of which he was neutralised, the FSB explained.

12:00 03.03.2025 (Updated: 15:00 03.03.2025) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - A terrorist who was going to carry out bombings in a religious Jewish institution in the Moscow Region and in the Moscow metro was destroyed, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Monday.
The FSB has suppressed the terrorist activities of a Russian citizen, a native of one of the Central Asian countries, and a member of an international terrorist organisation banned in Russia.
The terrorist planned to detonate improvised explosive devices in a Jewish institution in the Moscow Region and at a Moscow metro station, for which he conducted reconnaissance and purchased the necessary components, the FSB said. After the attacks, the terrorist planned to travel to Afghanistan and join the ranks of terrorist organisations, the FSB added.
