'Made in Russia': Russian Companies Debut at Smart Cities India Expo 2025
MOSCOW, Sputnik - For the first time, Russian companies under the national brand Made in Russia, supported by the Russian Export Centre (REC), are taking part in India's largest technology exhibition, the Smart Cities India Expo 2025, according to REC.
"Fourteen companies, supported by the Russian Export Centre (REC, part of the VEB.RF Group), are participating for the first time under the national brand Made in Russia at the largest Indian technology exhibition, the Smart Cities India Expo 2025. The event, taking place from March 19 to 21 in New Delhi, has gathered over 1,200 participants and 350 startups, all presenting innovative solutions that are shaping the future of urban landscapes," the statement says.
At the Made in Russia stand, Russian companies are showcasing a diverse range of smart city solutions, including charging stations, water purification systems, energy technologies, transport services, and software.
Participants represent various Russian regions, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Perm, as well as Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, and Novosibirsk.
The REC has scheduled 150 B2B meetings with potential Indian partners, offering participants further opportunities to build business connections and secure profitable agreements.
The REC highlights the significant potential of the Indian market for Russian companies. In 2024, India became one of Russia's key trading partners, with a strong interest in implementing joint high-tech projects in areas such as urban infrastructure, nuclear energy, and pharmaceuticals.
Notably, the REC provides substantial support to Russian exporters attending international exhibitions and business missions. The centre covers 100% of the costs for renting exhibition spaces, as well as expenses for creating temporary infrastructure, promoting information, administration, and event organisation.
