A Russian delegation has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in scheduled talks with US experts regarding a potential resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, a Sputnik correspondent reported. The negotiations are being held in a closed format.
Participants in the talks
Russia’s delegation includes:
Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs,
Sergey Beseda, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

The US delegation, according to media sources, is made up of:
Michael Anton, Director of Policy Planning under Secretary of State Marco Rubio,
Aides to President Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, Joseph Kellogg,
Representatives from the office of National Security Adviser Michael Waltz.
Key agenda items:
Discussions will center around the revival of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which was active during 2022-2023 to establish secure shipping routes for Ukrainian grain exports.
A significant focus will be on the proposed maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea, allowing both sides to safely transport grain, fuel, and restore trade, according to Waltz.
The talks will also cover the current front lines, peacekeeping measures, and potential territorial discussions aimed at achieving long-term peace, as stated by Waltz in an interview with CBS.
