MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India is in the preparation stage, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated.
"The visit of the head of the Russian state to India is being prepared," the minister said in a video address to participants of the conference of the Russian International Affairs Council "Russia and India: Toward a New Bilateral Agenda".
The conference, hosted by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with support from the Indian Embassy in Russia, gathers officials, experts, and public figures to discuss the growing Russia-India partnership, focusing on mutual respect and shared interests.
Earlier this month, the presidential aide Yury Ushakov told Sputnik that the visit will certainly take place in 2025, although he did not specify the exact dates.
