Participants in the Russian-Indian consultations in Moscow discussed the liberalisation of the visa regime between the two countries, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Special attention was given to further liberalising the visa regime, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Russian and Indian citizens, as well as improving the working conditions of the diplomatic missions of both countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The parties confirmed their readiness "to further strengthen cooperation in the consular field." "The negotiations were held in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere," the ministry added.
Earlier, the Russia's Ministry of Economic Development reported that "an agreement on group visa exemption with India is ready."
