"Despite the announcement of the Easter truce, Ukrainian armed forces continued to fire artillery and strike with drones at the positions of our troops, as well as at civilian objects in the border areas of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea of Russia. A total of 4,900 violations of the truce were recorded," the ministry said in a statement.At the same time, the intensity of fire and combat operations by Ukrainian troops along the entire front line was significantly reduced during the ceasefire, the statement read.The Russian armed forces strictly observed the Easter truce and remained at previously occupied lines and positions from April 19 to April 21, the ministry said."With the end of the ceasefire, the Russian armed forces continued to conduct the special military operation," the statement added.

13:23 21.04.2025 (Updated: 14:11 21.04.2025) MOSCOW, April 21 (Sputnik) - The Ukrainian armed forces continued to fire artillery and carry out strikes using UAVs, with a total of 4,900 violations of the Easter truce recorded by Moscow, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
"Despite the announcement of the Easter truce, Ukrainian armed forces continued to fire artillery and strike with drones at the positions of our troops, as well as at civilian objects in the border areas of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea of Russia. A total of 4,900 violations of the truce were recorded," the ministry said in a statement.
