India has said another ceasefire violation occured by Pakistan along the Line of Control in the border region of Jammu and Kashmir, said the spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant Colonel Sunil Barthwal.
"On the night of 30 April to 1 May 2025, Pakistani army posts opened unprovoked fire with small arms across the Line of Control, opposite Kupwara, Uri, and Akhnoor in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir," Barthwal stated, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
He added that Indian troops "responded proportionately."
New Delhi has been recording daily reports of gunfire from Pakistani forces along the Line of Control for a week following the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
