Launched from the Sheopur trial area in Madhya Pradesh on May 3, the stratospheric airship reached an altitude of 17 km (about 56,000 feet). It is designed for surveillance and data gathering, and due to its high altitude, it remains nearly invisible.Developed by DRDO's Agra-based Air Delivery Research and Development Establishment, the airship remained in the air for 62 minutes. According to a press release from the Indian Defence Ministry, the airship carried various equipment, although details such as the weight of the equipment have not been disclosed. The sensors installed aboard the airship transmitted data that will be used to improve the platform in the future, the statement stated.
