Russian President Vladimir Putin is present at the prestigious military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945), which was part of World War II.
Victory Day has been celebrated annually since 1945, becoming one of Russia’s most significant and cherished public holidays. It is marked by parades, fireworks, and concerts across the country.
Leaders from 27 countries — including those from China, Brazil, Egypt, Serbia, Slovakia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Burkina Faso, and others — are in attendance. These leaders, along with President Putin, will also take part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
