The Rossiya Segodnya Media Group held its first workshop for Indian journalists from the international organisation Pathway Global Alliance, which specialises in cultural, sporting, and other humanitarian events for young people.The masterclass, organised in collaboration with the Sputnik hub in New Delhi, featured a presentation by Victoria Polikarpova, Deputy Head of Sputnik News. During the seminar, she discussed methods for identifying and debunking fake news, and shared practical tools for tackling misinformation."For a long time, Russia and India have been strategic partners, working together across a variety of fields, but we’ve lacked direct interaction between our journalists. The masterclass we’ve held, which we hope is the first of many, has given us a unique opportunity to engage with professionals from all over India and build closer ties. We sincerely hope that our collaboration continues to grow and that we become good friends," Olga Dicheva, head of the Sputnik hub in India, commented on the event.Varun Kashyap, Director of Pathway Global Alliance, thanked the Sputnik team for hosting the webinar and expressed hope for similar events in the future.Satinder Rajah, the editor-in-chief of Daily Top News, who attended the masterclass emphasised that he would be delighted to participate in future SputnikPro webinars.
