Speaking during a public interaction, Jaishankar highlighted a key gap in the international community’s approach to terrorism. “It’s a fact that countries often don’t take a position when some other country is a victim of terrorism, which they would do when they themselves are,” he said.

India’s Consistent Stand on Global Terrorism Sets It Apart: Jaishankar
11:15 03.07.2025 (Updated: 11:52 03.07.2025) In a pointed observation on the global response to terrorism, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that India has consistently maintained a principled stand on terror attacks—whether they occur within its borders or abroad—unlike many other nations that remain selective in their responses.
Speaking during a public interaction, Jaishankar highlighted a key gap in the international community’s approach to terrorism. “It’s a fact that countries often don’t take a position when some other country is a victim of terrorism, which they would do when they themselves are,” he said.
“When terrorist incidents or attacks happen elsewhere, outside India, we’ve largely followed the same position that we have taken when they have happened in India,” he noted.
