Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may strike certain major agreements during a personal meeting in the future, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
"Perhaps, it [the personal meeting] will also be necessary for cementing some major agreements that will eventually be reached after a lot of work is done. This work has yet to be done," Peskov said in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Commenting on Trump's statements on the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, Peskov said, "Russia is ready to move quickly; the most important thing for us is to achieve our goals."
"Our goals are clear, they are obvious, and they have not changed," he added.
