BEIRUT (Sputnik) - The Russia-Jordan visa regime cancellation will contribute to an increase in the number of flights between the countries, Jordanian Minister of Tourism Imad Hijazin told Sputnik.
On Wednesday, Russian and Jordanian foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Ayman Safadi signed an agreement on the abolition of visa requirements between the countries.
"We are counting on new projects and investment from Russia. Since we are counting on a flow from Russia and, possibly, neighboring countries. In this way, we will benefit from the Russian market, and we will also be able to see a reverse flow from Jordan to Russia, in particular those who studied in Russia and would like to visit it again," Hijazin said when asked if joint Russian-Jordanian projects exist in the tourism sector.
