Officials said the expanded tariff measures are part of the Biden administration’s ongoing efforts to address what it has described as an “unusual and extraordinary threat” to US national security and foreign policy.Neither Indian officials nor the US Trade Representative’s office had immediately responded to requests for comment at the time of publication.
