Russian air defence forces shot down 69 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
"On 7 September, from midnight to 06:30 Moscow time [21:00 Saturday to 03:30 Sunday GMT], air defence systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 69 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," it said.
Of these, 21 drones were shot down over the Krasnodar Territory, 13 over the Voronezh region, 10 over the Belgorod region, seven over the Astrakhan region, six over the Volgograd region, three over the Rostov region, two over the Bryansk region, one over the Kursk and Ryazan regions and the Republic of Crimea each, and four over the waters of the Sea of Azov, it specified.
