The Russian Export Center (REC, part of the VEB Group) plans to expand its network of Russian national pavilions showcasing domestic products by opening a seventh site in India, REC Vice President Alexey Solodov announced at the annual open conference “Measures to Enhance the Competitiveness of Russian Agro-Exporters”.
"The program of permanent demonstration and tasting pavilions has been implemented by REC together with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture since 2017. Starting in 2025, the program operates under a public-private partnership model (PPP). Hosting products in these pavilions allows manufacturers and suppliers in the agro-industrial complex (APC) to find business partners among local importers, distributors, and representatives of the HoReCa sector," the center said.
Currently, national pavilions operate in six countries: China, Vietnam, Egypt, the UAE, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. They feature more than 3,300 unique product items from over 180 Russian manufacturers.
"We plan to open the seventh pavilion in India under the PPP model. Exporters who become pavilion residents gain opportunities for both B2B and B2C promotion, including in local retail chains, marketplaces, online platforms, and in ‘Made in Russia’ retail stores, which we launch together with partners," Solodov commented.
In addition, REC is strengthening the online infrastructure for promoting products abroad through ‘Made in Russia’ stores on major international marketplaces. Key opinion leaders and foreign bloggers are actively involved in building trust in Russian brands among consumers.
Solodov also emphasized the fight against counterfeiting, a problem particularly acute in China, where retail stores sometimes sell fake “Russian” products.
"For REC, protecting our products from counterfeits on the Chinese market remains a priority. We are exploring solutions with Chinese regulators while expanding our network of official retail stores under the ‘Made in Russia’ brand, offering authentic high-quality products from our manufacturers," he said.
The REC vice president reminded participants that agro-exporters can access support at every stage of exporting: from selecting promising markets to compensating transportation costs. The conference “Measures to Enhance the Competitiveness of Russian Agro-Exporters” was organized by the Agroexport Center and the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
REC is a state institution supporting non-commodity, non-energy exports. It provides financial and non-financial assistance to companies across industries at all stages of entering international markets, including under the national project “International Cooperation and Export.” Most of REC’s services are available online via the state digital platform “My Export.”
