India Welcomes Formation of Nepal’s Interim Government Led by Sushila Karki

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Sushila Karki on taking the oath of office as Prime Minister of Nepal’s Interim Government, reaffirming New Delhi’s commitment to supporting peace and progress in the neighboring country.
“I extend my best wishes to the Right Honourable Sushila Karki on assuming office as Prime Minister of Nepal’s Interim Government. India remains firmly committed to the peace, progress, and prosperity of the people of Nepal,” Modi wrote on social platform X.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs also welcomed the formation of the new interim government in Kathmandu, expressing hope that it would contribute to strengthening peace and stability.
"As a close neighbour, a fellow democracy and a long term development partner, India will continue to work closely with Nepal for the well-being and prosperity of our two peoples and countries," the ministry said in a statement.
