A Russian soldier with the call sign "Spartan" engaged a four-man Ukrainian sabotage group near Krasnoarmeysk and personally took two prisoners, an officer of the 33rd Regiment of the 20th Guards Motor Rifle Division of the "Centre" group of forces, with the call sign "Sensenati", told Sputnik.
"Our guide was leading the assault group closer to the line of contact. On the way back, in the 'grey zone', they ran into a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group of four men. A firefight broke out. One of the enemy soldiers surrendered immediately, laying down his arms voluntarily. Three of them carried on fighting, returning fire. When our man wounded the second Ukrainian serviceman, he decided to lay down his arms and crawl over to him," he said.
According to the officer, fighters from an adjacent unit soon came to Spartan’s aid and eliminated the remaining two saboteurs. Sputnik has obtained photographs of the Ukrainian troops killed in the skirmish. As identification, they had strips of green tape on them. The captured saboteurs were escorted to the rear.
