MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Moscow will participate in the GITEX Global international technology exhibition from October 13 to 17 in the United Arab Emirates, the city's Department of Information Technologies said on Monday.
"From October 13 to 17, the international technology exhibition GITEX Global 2025, one of the largest in the world, is taking place in Dubai. The Moscow government will present at it several promising IT projects, including the digital twin of the capital and a platform for creating software and maintaining information systems," the department said in a statement.
One of the capital's key projects at the fair will be a digital replica of the city, containing 9,000 analytic layers of data. It helps to make over 2,000 administrative decisions annually in various fields ranging from construction and urban improvement to transport access and other areas, the statement added.
"Our city is participating in shaping the global digital agenda. Moscow annually holds large-scale forums dedicated to technology development and showcases its best practices abroad," Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina was quoted as saying.
At the exhibition, the Russian capital will present developments for both the public sector and businesses, she added.
