India Studying Impact of US Sanctions Against Russian Oil Companies: MEA
India is studying the consequences of US sanctions against Russian oil companies, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday.
"As for the sanctions against Russian oil companies. We are studying the consequences of these sanctions. As we have already said, decisions are made naturally by us, taking into account the changing dynamics of the global market," Jaiswal told a briefing.
He added that India's position on the broader issue of energy sources is well known.
"In this endeavor, we are guided by the imperative of providing affordable energy from various sources to meet the energy security needs of 1.4 billion people," Jaiswal added.
