Russia’s Center for Autonomous Robotic Systems (JSC CARS) will present its unmanned aerial vehicle abroad for the first time at the Dubai Airshow 2025, showcasing the KSI modular-architecture drone as part of the joint Russian exposition.
The KSI UAV is a multirotor transport platform equipped with electric motors and designed to carry payloads of up to 25 kilograms. Engineered for fast and precise delivery, the system is suitable for operations in remote or hard-to-reach locations — including regions with extremely hot climates.
One of the drone’s key features is its modular architecture, which allows rapid adaptation for different missions. Switching between logistics tasks, emergency delivery, aerial imaging, or various technical operations requires no major system overhaul — operators simply replace the relevant modules or hardware.
The drone’s airframe is constructed from carbon fiber and lightweight metal alloys, providing a combination of strength, durability, and reduced overall weight.
According to the company, the KSI platform offers a broad range of civilian and industrial applications for customers in the Persian Gulf:
Monitoring infrastructure and energy facilities, including oil and gas fields, power plants, and pipelines
Environmental and territorial surveillance, including operations over desert and maritime areas
Delivery of cargo to remote or difficult-to-access sites
Agricultural and environmental management
Integration into smart city initiatives for security and oversight
These capabilities position the KSI UAV as a dual-use solution suited for both commercial and government sectors in the Middle East.
Founded in 2023, the Center for Autonomous Robotic Systems (JSC CARS) is a Russian developer and manufacturer of multifunctional robotic systems for air and ground deployment. The company works closely with Bauman Moscow State Technical University to advance innovative technologies and ensure operational safety.
A resident of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, JSC CARS holds a license from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop aviation equipment.
