Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of the Russian Maritime Collegium, Nikolai Patrushev, in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Maritime Collegium press service reported.
The discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming India-Russia summit, scheduled for early December, it said.
“The preparations for the India-Russia summit, scheduled for early December, were discussed separately,” the press release stated, underlining the importance of the upcoming high-level talks.
During the meeting, the two officials also discussed bilateral cooperation in the maritime sector, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting underscores the strengthening of Russia-India relations, particularly in strategic and maritime areas, ahead of the official summit.
