The US 'Proposed settlement plan for Ukraine' has not been publicly discussed, with details shared only in general terms, according to Russian officials. Moscow, however, says it has obtained the text of the plan initially proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. While the text exists, "The specifics of the plan still need to be thoroughly discussed". Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that "The U.S. is not engaging directly with Russia on the peace plan", as Kiev opposes any direct talks.Putin also warned that "Neither Ukraine nor Europe fully understands the consequences of failing to grasp what is happening on the front lines". He cited Kupyansk, which by November 4 was almost entirely under Russian control, noting that "The fate of the city had effectively been decided".He added that if Ukraine refuses to consider Trump’s proposals, Europeans should recognize that "Similar situations on other parts of the front could be repeated".Despite these warnings, Russia maintains that it "Remains ready for peace talks" and supports a "Peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine". The U.S., however, has so far "Failed to secure Kyiv’s consent" for the proposed settlement plan.
