The Russian Armed Forces delivered a precision strike with the Oreshnik missile system, successfully putting the Lvov State Aviation Repair Plant out of operation, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
the plant serviced Ukrainian Air Force aircraft, including Western fighter jets, and was involved in producing strike drones used against Russian territory, according to official statement.
The strike, carried out on January, destroyed production workshops, drone storage facilities, and the airfield infrastructure of the plant, neutralizing a key asset of Ukraine’s military-industrial capabilities, the MoD said.
The operation was part of a massive, coordinated strike, also involving Iskander and Kalibr missiles. In addition to the Lvov aviation plant, other critical Ukrainian infrastructure was targeted, including industrial facilities in Kiev and energy objects supporting the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
