MOSCOW (Sputnik) - US President Donald Trump has published on Truth Social screenshots of a message from French President Emmanuel Macron, in which he proposes to hold a G7 meeting in Paris on January 22 and invite Russia and Ukraine to participate on the sidelines.
"I can set up a G7 meeting after Davos in Paris on Thursday afternoon. I can invite the Ukrainians, the Danish, the Syrians and the Russians in the margins," the message read.
Earlier, Trump stated that that he will impose 200% tariffs on French wine and champagne, and then French President Emmanuel Macron will agree to accept his invitation to the Board of Peace for Gaza.
Reuters reported on Monday, citing a source close to Macron, that France intends to reject Trump's invitation to join the Board of Peace for Gaza.

"I'll put a 200% tariff on his wines and champagnes, and he'll join, but he doesn't have to join," Trump told reporters, as quoted by Reuters, adding that no one needs Macron because he will leave office soon.

He then confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been invited to join the Board of Peace for Gaza.
