Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov announced that the first meeting of the trilateral working group on security issues — involving representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine — would take place in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The Russian delegation includes senior officials from the Ministry of Defense, led by Admiral Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces.
Members of Russian security working group received instructions from Putin last night, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Ukraine must leave Donbass, this is a key condition for Russia," the Kremlin spokesman underlined.

Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev and Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff also arrived in the UAE for a meeting to discuss cooperation between the Russian and American economies, he added.
In late December, US President Donald Trump held talks with Vladimir Zelensky in Florida, claiming agreement on 95% of the issues. He then spoke with Vladimir Putin, who reported an attempted attack on his residence by Ukrainian forces. Following this, Moscow announced a revision of its negotiating position.
The talks will continue on Saturday, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said.
He hopes the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi will bring the Ukrainian crisis’ resolution closer.
