India is set to witness the debut of Russia’s next-generation regional aircraft as the Superjet and Il-114-300 make their first appearance at Wings India 2026. Their arrival adds a strong international highlight to one of Asia’s leading aviation showcases.The aircraft completed an extensive ferry flight from Zhukovsk airport, near Moscow, crossing the airspace of more than 10 countries and operating seamlessly across diverse geographical and climatic conditions, according to Rostec.All onboard systems, produced entirely in Russia, operated flawlessly throughout the journey, demonstrating reliability and readiness.The Il‑114‑300 was flown by test pilots Sergey Sukhar, Anton Sinitsyn, and Sergey Petrenko, with flight engineer Pavel Litvyakov, while the Superjet was piloted by Leonid Chikunov, Igor Grevtsev, and Alexander Verkhov, assisted by lead test engineer Alexander Krylov.At Wings India 2026, the aircraft will be featured on static display. Both are powered exclusively by Russian-made engines—the Il‑114‑300 with the TV7‑117ST‑01 turboprops and the Superjet with the PD‑8 turbofans, developed by the United Engine Corporation (UEC).Each aircraft also features fully fitted interiors with complete passenger cabins.
