Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously noted that Ukrainian forces are sending hundreds of drones to strike Russian territory. He emphasized that the Kiev regime is deliberately targeting civilians in the regions, attacking civilian infrastructure and transport, including ambulances and agricultural machinery. The head of state described the methods used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Kiev's foreign mercenaries as terrorist.

Russian Air Defense Forces Destroy 21 Ukrainian Drones Overnight: MoD
Russian air defense alert assets shot down 21 Ukrainian drones over four regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Over the past night, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: 14 UAVs over the Belgorod Region, five UAVs over the Voronezh Region, and one UAV each over the Astrakhan and Kaluga regions," the statement says.
