A possible transfer of nuclear arms to Kiev will be an element of a proxy war against Russia, the chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, told Sputnik on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said that the
UK and France are preparing to transfer nuclear weapons to Kiev.
"Information from the SVR about the plans of Paris and London to transfer nuclear components to Kiev requires the most careful analysis, immediate and adequate response. The transfer of such weapons would not only violate the non-proliferation regime and strategic stability, but would also become an extremely dangerous element of a proxy war against Russia. All retaliatory measures in such cases are strictly regulated by the updated Russian nuclear doctrine. Never forget about it!" Slutsky said.
